January

We have had an action packed January!
Caleb got to have a play date at the park with his best friend Will who had moved to Utah, which means I got to have an AWESOME conversation with my friend Andrea, his mom. =o] I just love her and I'm so grateful we will be living close enough to them to meet up every once and a while!

Natalie continues to adore her Samantha American Girl doll. =o]

Caleb is working hard on his goal to be able to write all the letters and numbers correctly!

Our kind neighbors share their lemon tree with us and the kids LOVE making a huge disaster, oh i mean lemonade. ;o]

We have been having our usual bi-polar weather patterns that January brings to this area, as well as some awesome sunsets! One evening we decided to take a picture and send it to Kent, who was out of town, and just after I snapped this shot but before I texted it to him...

...he sent us this one! He was on the coast in San Diego, and experiencing the same beauty! =o]

I walked in on this tender scene one day. (Please ignore the mess.) Jenna wasn't feeling well, so Caleb made up a game of house that he was the husband and she was the wife and he was making her some chicken noodle soup to help her feel better while she had a nice rest. He is such a sweet kid!

Even though we won't be here in the summer, Natalie and I attended her baptismal preview fireside. It was a good experience and definitely added to her excitement for the event, if that is even possible!

The kids had earned the MacKay bucks to watch a movie one night but couldn't agree on which one. So the older kids watched Magic School Bus episodes on the computer, while the littles watched Frozen in the family room. Seth was SO EXCITED! He has never actually watched a movie, and didn't make it more than 45 minutes into this one, but he lived it up let me tell you!

We are taking advantage of the warm winter sunshine while we can and spending as much time as possible outside! Here are the kids doing Olympic races for PE.

Natalie had her last Karate class at the end of this month. It has been such a great experience for her and she is going to miss it for sure!

THIS little guy is being more and more trouble- especially when he and Jenna team up!!

Painting with water from the puddles= HOURS of entertainment!

Kent usually makes pancakes every Saturday, but since he was gone I tried my hand for the first time unsupervised at Swedish pancakes. ... There is a reason he took over Saturday morning breakfast people! =o] They still tasted great, but they were definitely not "Swedish pancakes". Lol! At first Natalie sobbed because they looked so different, but when the other kids started in on their seconds she came around. =o]

And there you have it- all the January non birthday, holiday, or traveling happenings!
