seth is growing and growing! we are buckling up for the 6 week "peak of fussiness" that i have experienced with all our other children and read about in my little parenting books. they are no longer newborns that "sleep like a baby" but are not quite old enough yet to respond to guidance on scheduling as they will be after 8 weeks. not my favorite stage- not gonna lie. but hey, there are sweet moments too so it is worth it!
such a cutie. we seriously all love him so much. it is strange how much life revolves around the needs and rhythms of the youngest child in the family. i need to remember to let him grow up and not stay the "baby" longer than he should, and to choose the other kids (and even kent?) over him sometimes! but for now, he is still taking the cake =o]
this little chickadee. her favorite new words are "uh-oh" and snack ("nak!")- which pretty much describes her life experiences to the T at the moment. she is the cutest little ball of trouble i've ever known! she gets into EVERYTHING and i'm sure it is only going to get worse before it gets better ha ha
oh my caleb. what would i do without this guy? he is the cutest helper and the best big brother and he makes us laugh all day. seriously, he is turning out to be one cool kid. here is his "self portrait" that he drew during natalie's art lesson.
here he is at his soccer class. it was the cheapest one and now we know why. lol! at least he loves it!
and then there is natalie. the poor girl developed shingles! she asked me not to post a picture of it online because she would be embarrassed. she had chicken pox as a baby, and so the pediatrician said that extreme stress can bring them on at anytime for the rest of her life. =o[ she is all healed up now (except the original one that appeared and she scratched open in the night ouch!) i will talk more about this experience in my next post about our switch to HOMESCHOOL!
she is losing teeth left and right- literally!
she wanted to cut her hair so it would "be cuter". she said she wanted it the length of her cousin katelyn. so off it came! =o]
here she is trying to mimic seth's movements. they all love helping with him, and they ask 50 million questions about him and babies and motherhood and parenting and families and just humanness in general every day! (they say "mom i have to tell you something" and then either ask me a question or inform me on some subject ha ha)
general conference was AWESOME! i look forward to continue building special traditions surrounding these weekends each year to make them special events. not pictured are their conference notebooks, and the center pages of last time's conference issue hung up on the wall so they can find the speakers and circle them as they talk. good times!
here they are going to the donut shop in their pajamas (natalie didn't get her pjs out of her room before we put jenna to bed the night before so she had to wear one of my t-shirts)
jenna didn't actually like the donuts. neither did i. too sugary that early in the morning! ah well too late, the other kids and kent are already hooked. =o]
here they are in our tent (like King Benjamin =o])
here they are with the different bowls of treats for each time they heard a word during the saturday afternoon session.
we are so grateful for the words of the prophets being broadcast right into our home! we had several special experiences while listening as a family that are definitely going in their journals this month.
and last but not least here are some sweet sibling sunday pictures from that afternoon =o]
i love my family! i am so grateful to be a mother and a wife! to me, THIS is fulfilling the measure of my creation! let the time fly- i am filling it!
